Post New Super Mario Bros 2- Quick review
Game name: New Super Mario Bros 2
System: 3DS

Bowser and his koopalings have once again captured Peach, this time casting a spell over the kingdom (As shown in the intro) that causes coins to rain all over the place? Can you help mario get them all?

Starting up this game will instantly prompt you to hear a small remix of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii theme, only with a little more bahs in there. May sound like it's cool, but it's not. When you begin the game and enter the world map, what do you hear? THE NSMBW MAP MUSIC. Completely unedited and untouched. In games like Pokemon black and white 2, it's fine, as they take place in the exact same worlds. But this is Mario we are talking about here! It shouldn't matter if the place is the same, at least edit it a little like on the title.

Regardless, when entering 1-1, you will do your basic gameplay, get power ups, star coins, all that stuff.... But when you get half-way through, you will spot an area with music blocks, and getting the star coin will cause A HUGE amount of coins to rain from the bottom of the screen.

This isn't your ordinary mario quest. Nope, there's an insane amount of gold, and almost every stage can net you a 1-up via that method if you try to get coins, which lowers the difficulty a little, but thankfully not that much. The new Gold Mushroom and flower powerups add more abilities for your use, getting more coins or becoming Gold Mario yourself.

Let's talk about the main game now. There are only 6 worlds this time around, which is a little disappointing compared to the other games' 8 worlds. However, there are 3 secret worlds adding the total to 9 like the others, but there shouldn't even NEED to be that many secret worlds.

But that's enough of my short summary, here is the pro-con list you all wanted, so here!

Fun, classic mario gameplay
DLC packs to keep the fun going
Lots of replay value
Coin Rush mode is very fun thanks to it's streetpass share and challenge features
Amazing level designs, even in the start
Throwbacks to Super Mario Advance 2 and 4 on the GBA (AKA: Super mario world and Super mario bros 3)

Way too much lives
Main game is too easy
Nothing to do after maxing out the coin count

So in all, I give NSMB2 a 8.0 out of 10.
